Stoves & Inglenooks

You will see a small selection of our most popular stoves featured on this page - we have a room in the showroom dedicated to stoves - each stove offering different options to suit your particular needs.  Whether you want to burn real wood & fuel or opt for a gas stove, we are sure to have something to suit.  Multi-fuel is still very popular, especially with the big push for renewable fuels and these stoves can offer amazing high heat outputs.  There has been some bad press regarding stoves recently and there are no plans to ban wood-burning and multi-fuel stoves! The Governments aim is to ensure that the stoves manufactured today burn as cleanly and efficiently as possible and our suppliers have had their stoves tested and approved to comply with the new rules regarding smoke control. While the stoves meet all the necessary requirements, it is ultimately down to the end user to ensure that clean, dry fuel is burned. More information can be found by clicking on this external link: DEFRA. We can not only supply but also install your inglenook fireplace & stove & we are both HETAS & Gas Safe Registered.  Please visit the showroom to discuss your fireplace & stove requirements.

Rules & Regulations regarding Stove installations - when it comes to the installation of a new fireplace, fire &/or stove there are lots of rules & regulations to comply with and ultimately, they are there for your own safety & for the safety of those around your fireplace!  Stay safe & keep your loved ones safe - use a qualified installer!

By Law in England and Wales the installation or replacement of a gas, solid fuel, wood or multi-fuel burning appliance (including the fireplace) is subject to Building Regulations.  The owner of the dwelling must either (1) obtain (& pay for) Building Control Approval from the local authority or (2) have the work carried out by a registrant of a Competent Persons scheme – such as Gas Safe Register (for gas work) or HETAS (for solid fuel).  Failure to use a registered competent person for the installation of your fireplace & obtain the appropriate certification will invalidate any manufacturers’ warranty and could affect your household insurance policy - you will also need to provide the certification upon selling the property.

As a member of HETAS & Gas Safe Register competent persons’ schemes, we can provide the mandatory certification that is required when you choose us to carry out the installation.
