CHOOSE THE BEST:  We do not contract out the work!  At Burning Sensation (Grimsby) Ltd we have our own in-house registered installer.  The same installer who carries out the site survey will undertake the installation work so understands your requirements from the time of quotation through to installation.  We are registered under the competent persons schemes, Gas Safe & HETAS, to issue the relevant certificate for your fire/fireplace installation.  The certificate is provided on the last day of installation & is not subject to additional cost.  Along with this – we also notify the Gas Safe Register of any gas appliance installed & HETAS of any solid fuel installations.

FITTING COST:  As every installation is different it is difficult to set a standard price for fitting a fireplace.  However, when you visit the showroom & talk to one of our members of staff, we can usually give you a guide price based on the fireplace you have chosen & the information you provide.

FREE LOCAL SITE SURVEY:  It is important for you to visit our showroom prior to a survey so that you can see our product ranges & decide on how you would like your fireplace to look.  We cannot provide a quotation for you unless we know what products you require, as this will also dictate what work will be involved, along with the actual product costs. Once you have selected your fire/fireplace/stove we will carry out a site survey, this is free in the Grimsby, Cleethorpes, Healing, Immingham areas (a small fee will apply to areas beyond those stated). Once the survey has been carried out we will provide you with a written quotation for the supply & installation of your chosen fire, stove or complete fireplace.  When booking a site survey, we will give you a confirmed, mutually convenient appointment date (either morning or afternoon) for our installer to visit your home. Please note we do not offer an installation service for products purchased elsewhere.

DID YOU KNOW?  Section J Building Regulations covers all fireplace installations, be it for gas, solid fuel or electric. Fires and fireplaces must be installed in accordance with the current national & local building regulations & a commissioning certificate should be provided by the fitter at the time of installation.  This commissioning certificate is separate to the certificate you will receive direct from either Gas Safe Register for gas work or HETAS for solid fuel work.

GAS SAFE REGISTER: As from April 2009 the old CORGI registration scheme ended for Domestic installations & the current governing body for gas installations in domestic dwellings is the Gas Safe Register. We are registered for natural gas and LPG work & our installer will be happy to show you his registration card upon request. Alternatively, you can look online: www.gassaferegister.co.uk

HETAS: just like we have the Gas Safe Register, we have a governing body for all solid fuel installations including open coal fires, multi-fuel and wood-burning stoves and metal chimney systems. We are registered with HETAS & our installer will be happy to show you his registration card upon request.
